Carmen Andrews Physiotherapy

Headaches could be the most common complaint of humanity; from our experience headache sufferers respond very well to physiotherapy management.

Cervical headache

Cervicogenic headaches are headaches caused by structures in the neck and temperomandibular joint (TMJ).

These headaches can be associated with mild nausea, lightheadedness, earache or the feeling of a blocked ear and visual disturbances.

Posture, ie the position of the head on the neck, greatly influences the pressure you place on the neck joints and muscles, causing the muscle spasm and inflammation that drive the headache.

From children to adults we will assist in optimising home work and work ergonomics and teach you how to minimise discomfort and maximise concentration and productivity.

Headaches are often related to neck, TMJ and postural dysfunction, as are poor breathing patterns that impact on your general well-being.
